Getting Around

The county strives to create and maintain a safe and efficient transportation system that provides a variety of ways for residents, visitors, and people who work here to get around.

Mass Transit
St. Charles County does not offer bus services. However, the St. Charles Area Transit (SCAT) system consists of 5 bus routes that provide transportation to various locations within the City of St. Charles as well as to the Metrolink North Hanley Station. Curb-to-curb service is provided for all riders, and all buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts.

MO Rides
If you live in St. Charles County and need a ride to meetings or appointments in Franklin, Lincoln, Montgomery, Warren or St. Charles counties,  MO Rides referral service  will assist you in finding the most affordable public transportation options  in the region.  Call MO RIDES at 636-359-4656 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for a referral to a transportation company.  Visit the MO Rides website for more information.
