Parks & Recreation

The St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department offers unique parks, diverse facilities and a broad range of programs and special events for all ages to enjoy. In addition to features that enhance the region's historical and natural environmental heritage. A number of amenities are available for use by groups, families, and individuals at each of the St. Charles County parks. Included in this are picnic shelters, camping facilities, and indoor lodges that can host weddings, family functions, and business conferences.
Please note: As of 6/19/15, the entrance to Hideaway Harbor Park is not accessible because of high water over the roadway.

Photography Policy and Special Authorization Form
Learn about the department's Professional Photography Policy (PDF). Professional photographers seeking to take portraits, group photos, or conducting a photography project for a profit shall make a request using a Special
Authorization Form
 (PDF) through the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department. The Special Use Permit named in the policy has been superseded by the Special Authorization Form.

Weather Closures
To preserve our facilities from damage due to inclement weather, we are occasionally forced to close our natural trails and the off-leash dog areas. To learn the status before you visit the parks, call the Parks and Recreation Department's cancellation/closure hotline at 636-949-7475.
