Bureaus & Divisions

The St. Charles County Police Department offers a number of services, through our different operational law enforcement bureaus to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of our citizens, businesses, and community. A brief description of our different operational law enforcement bureaus are listed below.

The Police Department is lead by 4 captains, for each of the following Operational Law Enforcement Bureau's. Throughout each of these law enforcement bureau's we work to provide professional and responsive law enforcement services to St. Charles County.

  1. Bureau of Administrative Services

    The Bureau of Administrative Service (BAS) is responsible for performing a variety of complex management services to support the operation of the SCCPD.

  2. Bureau of Criminal Investigation

    The Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) is responsible for investigating reported violations of the laws established by the State of Missouri Revised Statues, which occurs within the jurisdiction of St. Charles County.

  3. Bureau of Field Operations

    This bureau is comprised of 2 divisions, the Patrol Division and the Communications Division, both which operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with 3 different shifts.

  4. Bureau of Special Enforcement

    This bureau is comprised of 6 divisions: Court Services, Community Education, Emergency Management, Firearms, Fugitive Unit, and Special Operations.
