Communications Division

The Communications Division is led by the Division Commander, Lieutenant K. Dewitte.

Hours & Shifts
This division operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with 3 different shifts.
  • First Watch / Day Shift: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Second Watch / Evening Shift: 3-11 p.m.
  • Third Watch / Midnight Shift: 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Responsibilities
The Communications Division is the day-to-day lifeline of our department. They serve as the receiving point for 911 calls, evaluating incoming emergency and non-emergency phone calls to determine the level of service required. They also are responsible for the processing and dispatching of calls for service for St. Charles County Police Officers and Park Rangers.

Additionally, they provide department personnel with access to additional resources and inter-agency communications.
