As a public service, the Division of Health Services offers free educational programs for child care centers, schools, and members of the community. Please view our online calendar to attend our next class. To schedule a health promotion class, please call 636-949-7400 or use the online form.

Parenting 101
Length: 60 Minutes
Open to new parents or guardians who meet eligibility requirements for enrollment, this class is intended to increase child safety through education on creating a safe home environment, discipline and the use of child restraint systems. Upon completion, attendees will receive a new, convertible car seat.
Children Ages 3 - 6
A set of curriculum has been arranged to help educate preschoolers on the importance of health and well-being. For a complete list of these classes available, please view our list (PDF).
"Clock Hour" Classes for Child Care Providers
Immunizations and Child Care
Length: 60-120 minutes
For Early Education and Child Care professionals, this class will provide information on vaccine preventable diseases and increase compliance with immunization record keeping within a child care facility.


Immunization Review Workshop*
Length: 60-120 minutes 
For Early Education and Child Care professionals, this class will review immunizations requirements and instruct upon appropriate doses, spacing and timing of vaccines required.
*Participants must complete Immunizations and Child Care prior to enrolling in this class.
Socializing and Healthy Habits
Length: 90-120 minutes

Nutrition 101
Length: 90-120 minutes 
For Early Education and Child Care professionals, this class provides instruction on the basics of nutrition and how to help children make good food choices.

Supporting Breastfeeding in Child Care
Length: 60 minutes
For Early Education and Child Care professionals, this class helps facilities in efforts to enable families to continue breastfeeding even if mothers return to work or school.

Menu Magic – Menu Planning for Child Care
Length: 120 minutes
For Early Education and Child Care professionals, this class helps providers develop nutritious meals for children in their facilities.

Staying Healthy – Communicable Disease in Childcare
Length: 60 minutes
For Early Education and Child Care professionals, this class focuses on decreasing the spread of communicable disease in childcare settings.

Emergency Preparedness in Childcare
Length: 2 hours
For Early Education and Child Care professionals, this class helps to develop a reaction plan in the event of disasters and other emergencies.

Emergency Preparedness for Child Care Providers
Length: 2 - 3 hours

Healthy Smiles – Oral Health of Young Children

Length: 60-120 minutes
