Commemorative Tree

About the Program
Our commemorative tree program allows you to celebrate all of life’s special events, while giving back to nature. Your participation will not only serve as a special tribute, but will also enhance the green space in St. Charles County and your parks system.

For each $150 commemorative tree purchased, members of the St. Charles County Parks staff will plant your tree, install the commemorative plaque, and provide all necessary horticultural care to promote healthy growth. You will receive a letter stating the type of tree purchased, the location of the tree, and the wording displayed on the commemorative plaque. A 1-year guarantee accompanies your tribute.

About the Trees
Most of the trees offered through the commemorative program (PDF) are native to Missouri. These trees are better suited to withstand the weather extremes of the area, become established, and live a long life. Each tree will stand between 5- and 6-feet tall, when planted. St. Charles County Parks employees will plant the trees in the spring and fall. A commemorative plaque with your special tribute message will be placed next to the planting.
