MRC Membership Meeting and Training
Tuesday, March 21, 2017
In times of need, many lend their neighbors a helping hand. In a community-wide emergency, a trained team working in coordination with strategically mobilized resources is a valuable resource. St. Charles County’s Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a volunteer-based unit of medically trained and non-medical professionals alike who put their knowledge and skills to use in helping the community.
The Department of Public Health sponsors the local MRC chapter and hosts monthly meetings to prepare its members. Presented at the health department, the meetings provide an overview of the program, outline various roles within the County’s emergency response plan and discuss segments of the MRC training/certification program. Membership is open to anyone, ages 18 or older.
