Jury Information
 Jurors must call recording the night before you report.

When and where to report:
You are required to report to the Jury Assembly Room on the main floor of the Courts Administration Building, 300 North Second St., St. Charles, Room 215. You MUST call 636- 949-3033 after 5:00 p.m. on the day before your service date to be informed by a recorded message if you should report on your scheduled date. If you are to report on a Monday you can call the recording after 5:00 p.m. on Friday for the message. If your group number is cancelled you do not need to appear unless you get another summons.

 
Length of service:
Jurors are summoned for one day or one trial. If you are selected as a juror, you must serve the duration of the trial. If you are not selected on the day that you report, your service is complete and you are exempt from serving for one year. Compensation:
Jurors are paid $20.00 per day for each day of service plus $ .07 per mile if you live outside the City of St. Charles. You will receive a check in the mail 2-4 weeks after service.

Parking:
The Court is unable to provide juror parking. The city maintains a municipal parking garage located across the street from the Courts Administration Building. The cost to park in the city garage is $2.00
Correct change is required and is not reimbursed by the courts. There is street parking on most streets around the Courts Administration Building, however, some parking is restricted. Do not park in one hour parking places. Do not use handicapped parking without permit.

Excuses:
Requests to be excused must be submitted in writing to St. Charles Circuit Clerk, Jury Supervisor’s Office, 300 N. Second St., Suite 215, St. Charles, MO 63301 or you may fax your letter to (636) 949-7503.

Available facilities:
Jurors are responsible for their own meals except during deliberations. There are restaurants within walking distance of the courts or you may bring your lunch. Vending machines and coffee will be available.

Clothing:
Dress should be comfortable, yet formal enough to be in keeping with the occasion. Rough jeans, shorts, etc. are prohibited. During summer courtrooms can be cool. Sometimes a sweater is advisable.

Courthouse security:
All persons entering the courthouse are required to pass through a security system and can be subject to search.
