The project involves improvements to the intersection of Route N and Weiss Road to improve safety and efficiency of the intersection. Proposed improvements include:
- Realignment of the intersection of Route N and Weiss Road by straightening both roads to remove the need for the extreme surperelevation at the intersection.
- Reconfiguration of the intersection to improve northbound/southbound traffic flow.
- Reconstruct traffic signal and add a new fourth leg to the intersection.
The project is funded by St. Charles County’s ½-cent Transportation Sales Tax and with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Surface Transportation Program-Suballocated (STP-S) funding. The engineering design consultant is Bax Engineering. The project is estimated to cost approximately $2.6M.
