*These numbers identify COVID-19 cases and contacts from school attendance and school-linked activities in and outside of school facilities. St. Charles County residents (students and staff) who attend or work at schools are included. Inquiries are made regarding source and location of transmission, however, the exact moment of transmission may not be evident.

  • Close Contacts Linked to a School Case - Figures include close contacts exposed directly through a school setting or where a school is listed as a place of employment or attendance.
  • Community Cases Linked to a School Case - Figures include family and/or other community individuals exposed to a school-linked case and who then developed into a positive COVID-19 test result.
  • School Cases Linked to Another School Case - Figures include student or staff COVID-19 cases who are linked to other school or community COVID-19 cases.

The process used to collect and share this data is uniform for all school settings to allow comparisons between districts, private schools, colleges and universities.
