This project involves improvements along Josephville Road from Highway P to Kersting Road. Proposed improvements include:
Reconstruct and widen the existing roadway to standard 12-foot lanes with 4-foot shoulders to provide safer travel and an improved driving surface.
Improve the horizontal alignment by correcting a couple of substandard curves in the full reconstruction portion of the project.
Overlay existing pavement for pavement preservation for the portion of the project that requires only widening.
The project is funded by St. Charles County’s ½-cent Transportation Sales Tax and with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Surface Transportation Program-Suballocated (STP-S) funding. The project is estimated to cost approximately $2.2M.

Design by HRGreen began early in 2022. Construction is scheduled for 2024. The consultant has finished field surveys, the Traffic Circulation Report, and Conceptual Plans. A public meeting was held in mid-December to show the progress on the plans. Work on the Preliminary Plans is anticipated to conclude in January 2023.
