This project involves improvements along Josephville Road from Highway P to Kersting Road. Proposed improvements include:
- Reconstruct and widen the existing roadway to standard 12-foot lanes with 4-foot shoulders to provide safer travel and an improved driving surface.
- Improve the horizontal alignment by correcting a couple of substandard curves in the full reconstruction portion of the project.
- Overlay existing pavement for pavement preservation for the portion of the project that requires only widening.
The project is funded by St. Charles County’s ½-cent Transportation Sales Tax and with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Surface Transportation Program-Suballocated (STP-S) funding. The project is estimated to cost approximately $2.2M.
