Officers in the St. Charles County Police Department (SCCPD) and other public safety and law enforcement agencies in the region have received extensive active shooter training known as Multi-Assault, Counter Terrorism Action Capabilities (MACTAC). This course trains first responders in proper tactics and techniques when responding to an active shooter event. MACTAC training covers all facets of responding to such an event to ensure efficient and effective action to minimize the number of victims and stop the assault.
