COVID-19 Latest News 

While parks remain open for outdoor recreation, guests should continue to follow social distancing and CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Drinking fountains remain closed. Follow us on Facebook or check our Rainout Line for up-to-date information about closures.

Make a Reservation

Reservations for all facilities have resumed to normal and may be made online or by calling our office 636-949-7535. Guests also may pay for reservations by phone, mail, online or in person. 

Limited Access to Park Administrative Office

The St. Charles County Administration Building at 201 N. Second Street in St. Charles is open to the public with normal operating hours; however, access is limited to the first floor. Staff in the Parks Department offices at the Administration Building are available by appointment and will meet you downstairs to conduct business. Please call 636-949-7535 to make an appointment.

Asphalt Pump Track Opens at Extreme Sports Park

St. Charles County Parks opens the largest asphalt pump track in the nation at the Youth Activity Park in Dardenne Prairie. Come out and feel the rush while riding the 30,000-square-foot track that features beginner, intermediate and advance sections. This "all wheels" track is open year-round to BMX bikes, mountain bikes, strider bikes, scooters, skateboards and inline skates. Everyone can enjoy it; even spectators are welcome to come out and watch!

The St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department offers unique parks, diverse facilities and a broad range of programs and special events for all ages to enjoy, in addition to features that enhance the region’s historical and natural environmental heritage. A number of amenities are available for use by groups, families, and individuals at each of the St. Charles County parks. Included in this are picnic shelters, camping facilities, and indoor lodges that can host weddings, family functions, and business conferences.
