COVID-19 Latest News
While parks remain open for outdoor recreation, guests should continue to follow social distancing and CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Shelter and indoor facility rentals have resumed with restrictions—online reservations are limited to shelters, individual campsite and cabin registrations only; The Grand Pavilion, indoor facility and group camping reservations must be made by calling our office at 636-949-7535. Drinking fountains and the rock climbing wall at the Youth Activity Park remain closed. Follow us on Facebook or check our Rainout Line for up-to-date information about park closures.
The St. Charles County Administration Building at 201 N. Second Street in St. Charles is now reopen to the public with normal operating hours. Access is limited to the first floor. Staff in the Parks Department offices at the Administration Building are available by appointment. Please call 636-949-7535.

The St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department, St. Charles City-County Library and St. Charles County Historical Society are working together to document the effects the pandemic is having on our community. If you are a St. Charles County resident or live in a surrounding community, consider participating in this historic initiative by sharing your experiences. Personal narratives submitted will be recorded in history and serve as an educational tool for future generations.

Asphalt Pump Track Opens at Extreme Sports Park
St. Charles County Parks opens the largest asphalt pump track in the nation at the Youth Activity Park in Dardenne Prairie. Come out and feel the rush while riding the 30,000-square-foot track that features beginner, intermediate and advance sections. This "all wheels" track is open year-round to BMX bikes, mountain bikes, strider bikes, scooters, skateboards and inline skates. Everyone can enjoy it; even spectators are welcome to come out and watch!
The St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department offers unique parks, diverse facilities and a broad range of programs and special events for all ages to enjoy, in addition to features that enhance the region’s historical and natural environmental heritage. A number of amenities are available for use by groups, families, and individuals at each of the St. Charles County parks. Included in this are picnic shelters, camping facilities, and indoor lodges that can host weddings, family functions, and business conferences.
