Public Notice - Agencies May Apply for CDBG-CV Funds

St. Charles County is accepting online applications for funding from Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV) funds for the 2021 funding year. Non-profit agencies may apply for these funds to provide services to the eligible residents of St. Charles Urban County. This funding was authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136, which was signed by President Donald J. Trump on March 27, 2020.

St. Charles County is seeking applications to address homeless prevention and rapid rehousing of households at risk or homeless COVID-19 job losses and/or economic disruption. The intent of the funding is to support eligible households in stabilizing housing and income as quickly as possible. Eligible agencies will be required to receive assessment and referrals through Coordinated Entry, collect data in HMIS, and serve any eligible urban county households.  Funding may be spent on rental assistance or mortgage assistance for homelessness prevention or rapid-rehousing (up to three months), utility assistance, food assistance, and/or household items.

The deadline for receipt of the completed applications to the Community Development Department is Thursday, June 25, 2020.  Questions regarding the programs may be sent to Pinar Turker at pturker@sccmo.org.
