What are your plans for summer vacation? You don’t have to leave St. Charles County for fun and adventure – there’s so much to do here! And the best part is it won’t break your budget. The following is just a sample of places and events to check out for unforgettable “staycations” in our community. Thank you to the Greater St. Charles County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) for their assistance in putting together this list. Be sure to follow County, CVB, and municipal websites and social media for updates and more events.
Parks, Parks, and more Parks!
As a County Councilman, I have to brag on St. Charles County Parks a bit. They have numerous events scheduled throughout the summer. From kayak classes and Friday night stargazing to mountain bike rides, disc golf, and yoga, there are activities for every interest. County Parks also have summer camp opportunities and Storybook Walks for kids, tent and cabin camping, fishing, trails, The Historic Daniel Boone Home and the Heritage Museum, and much more. Visit their website for more information, read the latest Activity Guide, and register online for events. With 15 parks in the County’s system, your family can stay busy and active the entire summer!
We also have amazing park systems in our municipalities. St. Charles, St. Peters, O’Fallon, Lake Saint Louis, Dardenne Prairie, and Wentzville have fantastic amenities and activities to enjoy. And don’t miss the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area and the First Missouri State Capitol Historic Site Park.
