Sounds of the Season

Sunday, December 11, 2016

Come in out of the cold, sip a cup of hot apple cider, enjoy free musical performances at the museum Dec. 11! The first 50 guests will receive a complimentary commemorative ornament to remember the special occasion. Musical performances begin at 1:30 p.m. with the Greenleaf Singers, followed by the St. Charles Community Singers at 2:30 p.m., and the Nicole Jonas Group at 4:30 p.m. Listen to the Sounds of the Season, then take a free tour of the new exhibit, “Our Sporting Heritage” and simulated hunting game until 5 p.m. The new exhibit features a Marksman Hunting Simulator, which was donated to the Parks Department by August Busch III. This high-tech, realistic hunting experience allows players to participate in a virtual duck hunt. The main exhibit showcases the history of hunting and fishing in St. Charles County and Missouri from prehistoric times to the modern era. Another featured highlight of the exhibit is the St. Charles County Amateur Sports Hall of Fame.
