May 10, 2018

St. Charles County, Missouri – The St. Charles County Highway Department will close sections of North Point Prairie Road and South Point Prairie Road, weather permitting, starting Monday, May 21, 2018, to allow for removal and replacement of deteriorated culverts.

  • North Point Prairie Road between Highway 61 and Crystalwood Court will close for approximately six hours, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., on May 21 only.
  • South Point Prairie Road between Dyer Road and Meinershagen Road will close for approximately 6-8 weeks starting May 21.

Traffic will be required to use detour routes around the closures while the culverts are replaced. Local traffic can access either side of each closure locations, but no through traffic will be permitted. Signs notifying motorists of the closures and necessary detours will be posted.

These road projects are part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the County’s road system for the safety of the travelling public.
