[ARCHIVED] Sunset Sizzler, Dark 2 Dawn Races Promise Great Fun at Indian Camp Creek Park

St. Charles County, Missouri – Two great events are planned for outdoor enthusiasts at Indian Camp Creek Park near Wentzville with a night of competitive mountain bike racing followed by an all-night trail run. The fun begins at sunset on Saturday, June 30, and continues through the wee hours of the morning on Sunday, July 1. 

First up is Sunset Sizzler, a timed UFD Series Event that features competitive mountain bike racing. Categories include Men’s and Women’s Cat. 1, 2, 3, and Marathon. Awards will be given to top finishers in each category. Riders of all ages are welcome. Participants must wear a helmet and have a light 600 lumen or greater. Cost is $20 if registered by June 24; $25 after that date. Stick around and enjoy live music from 9–11 p.m. Overnight camping for the entire family is available and included with the entry fee. Rain date is July 21.

The Dark 2 Dawn all-night trail run begins at midnight on July1 and ends at 6 a.m. Each race takes place on a 6.7-mile route featuring a combination of open-field crossings and wooded single-track consisting mainly of dirt with a bit of rock mixed in. 10K and six-hour timed ultra-options are offered. Cost is $50 for the 10K and $80 for six-hour timed race and includes overnight camping, photos by professional photographer Marcus Janzow, and breakfast. Rain date is July 22.
