St. Charles County, Missouri – St. Charles County’s Hawk Ridge Precinct 214 polling location has been moved to the auditorium at Liberty High School, 2275 Sommers Road in Lake Saint Louis for the convenience of voters and students. The new location is listed on the precinct’s Notice of Election Identification Card recently mailed to voters. The polling place previously was at Frontier Middle School on Highway DD in O’Fallon.
The precinct is south of I-64 between Highway N and Highway DD. It lies primarily in the western-most part of O’Fallon, but also is in the southern-most part of Lake Saint Louis. The old and new polling places are next door to each other but face different roads and have different city addresses.
Bahr says he expects the move to reduce lines in this precinct and anticipates this change will be permanent for future elections. “During the Nov. 6, 2018 election, voters had to stand in the hallway of the middle school, causing delays and long lines,” says St. Charles County Director of Elections Kurt Bahr. “This was an inconvenience to voters and a disruption in the school day. Moving to the high school will allow more room for voters and students.”
