Discover Amazing Summer Camp Adventures with St. Charles County Parks

St. Charles County, Missouri – Children can discover new and exciting adventures this summer with the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department! Whether it’s a day-long adventure or week-long camp for exploring nature, fishing, history, sports, arts, and crafts, our unique summer programs unlock a child’s curiosity and creativity. Children can stay active, make friends, and have fun at these camps in a safe and supervised park environment.

Join us for these action-packed summer camps that are scheduled in a St. Charles County Park near you. Register your child now! Space is limited for these affordable, age appropriate experiences.

Camp YAP
9 a.m.–4 p.m., Monday
Friday, June 1014, June 2428, July 812 and July 2226
Make plans now to sign up for Camp YAP, a traditional summer day camp for children ages 6–12 held at the Youth Activity Park in Dardenne Prairie. Camp activities include sports, arts/crafts, indoor/outdoor games, special guests, snacks, music and an age-appropriate movie at the Town Square Movie Theatre next door. Campers need to bring lunch each day, but the program fee of $110 includes a T-shirt, water bottle and an ice cream sundae bar on Fridays. Deadline for each session is one week prior to the first day of camp. Call the YAP at 636-561-4964 for questions.

Nature Camp
9 a.m.–3 p.m., Monday–Friday, June 10–14
Looking for a camp that gives your child the opportunity to explore the outdoors? Then look no further! Nature Camp is an all-day, week-long adventure for youth ages 9–13 at Indian Camp Creek Park in Foristell. Campers discover nature using sensory awareness and science with safe, hands-on experimental activities. Participants will be able to take a hike, explore a creek, build a shelter, find wild edibles, discover their crafty side, play games, and make new friends along the way! Cost is $100 and pre-registration is required. Campers should bring a water bottle and sack lunch each day except Friday, when there will be a special lunch provided. Campers should also wear closed-toe shoes every day and be prepared to get wet and dirty. The camp is held outdoors, rain or shine. Call the Parks Department at 636-949-7535 for questions.

Youth Fishing Camp
9 a.m.–3 p.m., Wednesday, June 12
Join Park Rangers for the first of five fun fishing excursions that showcase St. Charles County Parks’ best fishing lakes. These single-day camps are perfect for beginners as well as intermediate anglers. Space is limited at each session on June 12, June 19, July 10, July 26 and July 31. At this fish camp, participants ages 8-15 learn the fundamentals of fishing at Quail Ridge Park in Wentzville. Cost of the program is $30 and includes a T-shirt and lunch. Youth Fishing Camp
8 a.m.–12 p.m., Wednesday, June 19
Join Park Rangers for the second of five fun fishing excursions that showcase St. Charles County Parks’ best fishing lakes. These single-day camps are perfect for beginners as well as intermediate anglers. Space is limited at each session. At this camp, participants ages 8-15 experience fishing in different habitats at Indian Camp Creek Park in Foristell. The cost of the program is $20 and pre-registration is required. Park Explorer Kids Club
8:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m., Monday–Friday, June 24–28
Discover nature and the outdoors during Park Explorer Kids Club at Quail Ridge Park in Wentzville! This week-long nature camp allows children ages 7–11 to learn about the environment, prairies, trails, and waterways through nature-themed games, crafts, activities, and special friends of the park. Explorers meet daily for three hours and a special lunch is provided on Friday. Cost is $45 per person and pre-registration is required. Each session is limited to 24 participants. Campers should wear closed-toe shoes every day and be prepared to get wet and dirty. The camp is held outdoors, rain or shine. Call the Parks Department at 636-949-7535 for questions.

Youth Fish Camp

These single-day camps are perfect for beginners as well as intermediate anglers. At this fish camp, participants ages 8-15 experience fishing in different habitats at The Park at New Melle Lakes in New Melle. The cost of the program is $20 and pre-registration is required. Daniel Boone Home Day Camp
Discover frontier life at the Historic Daniel Boone Home Day Camp! Campers ages 10-17 will participate in activities that work the mind and the body; taking them back to the days of the pioneers. They’ll learn bartering and trading at the general store, sharpen their skills at tomahawk throwing, experience the rhythms of traditional music, grow by learning pioneer woodworking, explore the wonders of the Femme Osage Creek, and much more! The cost of the program is $150 per child, which covers all material costs and a camp T-shirt. Pre-registration is required. Lunch is not included, please bring a sack lunch. Youth Fishing Night Camp
5–10 p.m., Friday, July 26
Join Park Rangers for the fourth of five fun fishing excursions that showcase St. Charles County Parks’ best fishing lakes. These single-day camps are perfect for beginners as well as intermediate anglers. At this fish camp, participants ages 8-15 experience night fishing at Klondike Park in Augusta and have the opportunity to camp in the park afterwards. Participants must be accompanied by an adult if camping in the park. Space is limited at each session; the cost of the program is $30 and pre-registration is required. History Explorer Kids Camp
9 a.m.–12 p.m., Monday–Friday, July 29–Aug. 2
Discover history in fun and exciting ways at the Heritage Museum in St. Peters! This week-long camp engages children ages 6-14 with local history experiences by using historic-themed activities, challenges and crafts. This year’s theme is Historical Games! Kids will discover the importance of games and how they enhance mood, encourage physical activity and build character. Learn to play frontier games such as the Game of Graces, learn to walk on stilts, and learn historical European games such as skat (German) or petanque (French). Campers also will learn about their historical roots and importance within our rich international heritage. Cost is $40 per child, which covers all material costs and a camp T-shirt. Youth Fishing Day Camp 
9 a.m.–4 p.m., Wednesday, July 31
Join Park Rangers for the final fun fishing excursion that showcases St. Charles County Parks’ best fishing lakes. This single-day camp is perfect for beginners as well as intermediate anglers. At the final fish camp, participants ages 8-15 learn how to fish from a canoe and kayak, participate in a fishing tournament, and have a fish fry with the catch of the day at Broemmelsiek Park in Defiance.
