St. Charles County, Missouri – The St. Charles County Council will hold a work session at 6 p.m., Monday, April 29, to learn more about the Better Together St. Louis City/St. Louis County proposed merger. Councilmen Joe Brazil, District 2, and John White, District 7, introduced a resolution regarding the issue at the Feb. 25 Council meeting and it has been tabled since for further discussion.
Monday’s work session will provide an opportunity for Council members to ask questions and learn more about Better Together from both sides on the issue. Chesterfield resident and radio personality John Hancock, who is in favor of Better Together, and former Missouri Senator John Lamping, who opposes the plan, are two of several speakers expected to be at the work session to discuss both sides of the issue. The public is welcome to attend.
Following the work session, at 7 p.m., the Council will hold its regular meeting. Both meetings will be held in the County Council Chambers of the Executive Building, 100 North Third Street, St. Charles. Agendas for both meetings can be found at sccmo.org/agendacenter.
