[ARCHIVED] Rankin Found Guilty by Jury of Rape 1st Degree

St. Charles County, Missouri- The Office of Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar announces that Prentice Michael Rankin, 63, of St. Charles, MO, was found guilty by jury of one count Rape 1st Degree and sentenced to 16 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Charges arose in March of 2018 when Rankin lured the victim into his apartment by making her believe he was offering her a job to clean his apartment. Rankin forced himself upon the victim stating we can do this the “hard way or the easy way.” The victim was eventually allowed to leave and reported the incident immediately to a neighbor. The victim met police at the emergency room and was able to lead officers to a towel that contained DNA of both the victim and Rankin.
