St. Charles County, Missouri – While crafting, roasting marshmallows for s’mores and sipping hot chocolate, learn about Missouri winter wildlife at free family-friendly event, Sunday, Feb. 2, at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum, 1630 Heritage Landing in St. Peters. Hosted by St. Charles County Parks and the St. Charles City-County Library District, this fun event is suitable for all ages!

Join us from 5 – 6:30 p.m. for “Wondrous Wintering Wildlife,” a new program led by Park Ranger Abigail Chambers. Though winter is a challenging season for wildlife, each species has its own method of surviving the cold. Participants will find out what furry animals are scurrying around this time of year, instead of hibernating in the parks. They’ll also get to see and feel animal furs and look at animal skulls. The Library District also will provide a Pop-up Library with books about these animals that will be available to reserve.
