March 4, 2020
The St. Charles County Highway Department reopened a portion of eastbound Westwood Drive to two-way traffic on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, following construction of new pavement, enclosed drainage, curb and gutter, and sidewalks. The area, which has been restricted to one-way traffic since August 2019, is between South Breeze Lane and Motherhead Road. The Highway Department is utilizing changeable message boards along the roadway to notify motorists about the reopening.
While two-way traffic has been restored, additional construction work along this portion of Westwood Drive will continue until May. Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the area.
This road project is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the County’s road system for the safety of the travelling public.
