The St. Charles County Highway Department will close a portion of Jungs Station Road .5 mile south of Upper Bottom Road starting at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, April 30, 2020, to make emergency repairs. Work will involve the stabilization of a retaining wall and pavement repairs due to heavy rain, and is expected to be completed by Saturday evening, May 2, 2020.
Jungs Station and Greens Bottom roads are open on either side of the closure, but no traffic will be permitted through the construction area. Changeable message boards and a detour route will be placed in the area as of 2 p.m. today. Motorists will be directed to use Willow Bend Drive, Eagles Hill Ridge, and Caulks Hill Road to detour around the closure.
This road project is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the County’s road system for the safety of the travelling public.
