St. Charles County Parks have something for EVERYONE – and if you like water and/or extreme sports, you won’t want to miss two new features that are making news.
YAP Asphalt Pump Track
Located in Dardenne Prairie, the 25-acre Youth Activity Park (YAP) is home to the largest outdoor skate and bike course in Missouri—and now it’s home to the largest asphalt pump track in the nation (pictured)! The 30,000-square-foot track opened in late June 2020. Complete with beginner, intermediate and advanced sections to accommodate riders of all abilities, anyone with wheels—bikes, skates, scooters, skateboards—can experience the circuit of paved rollers, banked turns and other features designed for riders to “pump” (generate momentum by using up and down body movements) instead of pedaling or pushing.
The track is open year-round and provides the challenges necessary for local and national bike competitions. Nighttime lighting will be installed soon. Spectators are always welcome!

These parks now feature self-serve Paddle Share stations where you can rent this equipment. Guests must reserve a watercraft in advance online and obtain a code to enter at the station.
