St. Charles County, Missouri – Due to inclement weather, the St. Charles County Highway Department has revised the date for the temporary closure of a portion of Cappeln Osage Road from Wednesday, February 18, 2015, to Tuesday, February 24, 2015, to allow for construction of a new bridge. The closure is immediately south of Femme Osage Creek Road and 0.7 miles from Highway T. Changeable message boards are on-site announcing the revised date of the closure.

The construction of this bridge is expected to take 45 days. No through traffic will be allowed through the closure area. Motorists will be directed to use Highway T and Femme Osage Creek Road to detour around the closure area. Signs notifying motorists of the closure and detour route will be posted.

This road project is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the county’s road system for the safety of the traveling public. Contact the St. Charles County Highway Department at 636-949-7305 for additional information concerning projects underway in unincorporated St. Charles County.
