St. Charles County, Missouri – The St. Charles County Highway Department is announcing the re-opening of Cappeln Osage Road to through traffic. Work on the replacement bridge, located immediately south of Femme Osage Creek Road, has been completed. Although some final roadway work remains, traffic now has access to the new structure.
“We recognize that it presents an inconvenience any time a road is shut down for work. We are glad to have the bridge replaced with a brand new structure and to re-open the roadway for motorists in that area,” said Craig Tajkowski, County Engineer. “While this roadway is open, we urge the motorists to remain alert as there is some finish work that remains. Please use caution around workers and equipment that may be present while finishing work near the roadway.”
This road project is a part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the county’s road system for the safety of the traveling public. Contact the St. Charles County Highway Department at 636-949-7305 for additional information concerning projects underway in unincorporated St. Charles County.
