St. Charles County, Missouri – Let’s celebrate national Go Skateboarding Day together! Join in the fun with the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department as we celebrate national Go Skateboarding Day from noon to 9 p.m. on Monday, June 22, at the St. Charles County Youth Activity Park (YAP). This year marks the ninth consecutive year that the Midwest’s largest public outdoor skate park will celebrate the national event. Admission to the park, located at 7801 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie, MO 63368, is free for spectators and anyone with a skateboard, roller blades, BMX bike or scooter. The day of fun will include a variety of competitions, demonstrations and product giveaways. All ages are welcome to attend!
“Our 33,000 square-foot street course is designed to provide a safe place for area youth to enjoy an assortment of alternative recreational opportunities,” said St. Charles County Parks Director Bettie Yahn-Kramer. “We encourage children and adults alike to get out and celebrate national Go Skateboarding Day by utilizing our state-of-the-art facility.”
Over the years, this special event has quickly developed into one of the region’s largest national Go Skateboarding Day celebrations. The extreme contests and activities that happen throughout the day attract youth and adults from across the state of Missouri and surrounding states.
