ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MISSOURI- The Office of Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar announces that Jeremy Eli McGhee, 41, of St. Charles, MO is charged with Assault 2nd Degree on a Law Enforcement Officer and Resisting Arrest.
Charges arose on November 9, 2015 when McGhee traveled at a high rate of speed on Highway 70 and passed cars on the shoulder. A Highway Patrol Officer observed and activated his emergency equipment to initiate a traffic stop, but McGhee ignored the officer’s commands and exited the highway. McGhee continued to drive erratically on Bryan Road. McGhee eventually pulled over and followed commands to exit the vehicle. As the officer approached, McGhee reached back into his vehicle and retrieved a handgun. The officer fired three shots at McGhee and a K-9 bit McGhee in the leg. McGhee did not suffer a gunshot wound.
McGhee is in custody and has a bond set at $20,000.00.
