St. Charles County, Missouri – Explore local history this holiday season when you visit the St. Charles County Heritage Museum’s annual train display that is open to the public through the end of January of next year.

Bring your family and friends to the St. Charles County Heritage Museum, located at 1630 Heritage Landing, St. Peters, MO 63303, to see the Gingerbread Village and Frosty’s Winter Wonderland model trains that are on display. Adults and children of all ages will delight in the sights and sounds of the trains as they make their way through part of the museum. Admission is free! Heritage Museum is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

“Most of the characters featured in the scenes are handmade, and some of the buildings in the train displays are modeled after historic structures that can still be found around the county, said St. Charles County Parks Director Bettie Yahn-Kramer.

In addition to the train display, guests may also tour the transportation exhibit at the museum, which showcases rivers, rails and roadways in St. Charles County. This free interpretive display focuses on local and state history.

For more information about the museum train display, please call the museum at 636-255-6000 or visit the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department online at www.stccparks.org.
