[ARCHIVED] Flooding Situation in St. Charles County - ALERT, 12/29/15 at 11 AM

Flooding Situation Alert: Due to the overtop of the Consolidated North County Levee on the Mississippi River in West Alton, the Mayor of West Alton and the Rivers Pointe Fire Chief direct residents of the City of West Alton to evacuate effective immediately.

Additional Updates:

--The State of Emergency for St. Charles County remains in effect. There have been no reports of flood-related fatalities. As of the evening of Dec. 28, the St. Charles County Police Division of Emergency Management received reports of 18 vehicle water rescues.

--St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann and St. Charles County Police Captain Tom Koch will meet with Governor Jay Nixon and the National Weather Service this afternoon for a weather briefing.

--Flash Flood Warnings have expired. Flood Warnings remain in effect for:
o Dardenne Creek – moderate flooding
o Mississippi River at all local stations
o Missouri River at all local stations
