[ARCHIVED] St. Charles Police Department Seeks the Public’s Help

St. Charles County, Missouri - The Office of Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar announces that the St. Charles Police Department is asking for the public's help in reference to the shooting that occurred on Saturday August 2, 2014.

The St. Charles Police Department is seeking any video or photographs that might have been taken during the time frame of 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on August 2, 2014 in the area of Blanchette Park. Anyone with photographs or video should contact the Police Department at 636-949-3309 or can do so anonymously through St. Charles Crime Stoppers at 636-949-3333.

On Saturday August 2, 2014 around 6:35pm, St. Charles Park Rangers and Patrol Officers responded to a shooting at Blanchette Park. A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were involved in an argument. The suspect shot the victim with a handgun. The victim was transported to a local medical facility where he was pronounced dead at approximately 7:04 p.m. The victim has been identified as 24 year old St. Charles resident Martell Crump.

St. Charles Police are still seeking Daveon L. Morrison, also known as Da Dha Bang, age 19, as a person of interest in the fatal shooting of Martell Crump. Investigators urge Mr. Morrison to contact the St. Charles Police Department. Mr. Morrison is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by the public.
