[ARCHIVED] Honoring Those Who Served: Memorial Day Program to be Held at Historic Courthouse

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO – The St. Charles County Veterans Committee and St. Charles City Veterans Commission will host their annual Memorial Day Program at 1 p.m. May 30 on the grounds of the St. Charles County Historic Courthouse/Executive Office Building, 100 N. Third St., St. Charles. The event is free and open to the public.

Master of Ceremonies Jerry Bradley of Marine Corps League Detachment 725 will lead the program. The agenda is as follows:
• Musical Prelude – St. Charles Municipal Band
• Call to Order – Larry Brown, Officer of the Day, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2866
• Invocation – Don Lauer, Chaplain, American Legion Post 312
• “National Anthem” and “God Bless America” – CPT Larry Ruebling (Retired), United States Air Force
• Pledge of Allegiance – Bob Lynam, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2866
• Welcome – St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann
• Welcome – St. Charles Mayor Sally Faith
• Musical Selection – St. Charles Municipal Band
• Moment of Silence
• Roll Call of Departed Veterans
• Jerry Bradley – Marine Corps League Detachment 725
• Bob Lynam – Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2866
• George D. Newell – Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 458
• CJ New – Marine Corps League Detachment 725
• Don Newman – Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2866

Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs, as seating is limited. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the St. Charles County Administration Building, 201 N. Second St., Room 115/116, St. Charles. Seating is available if the program is moved indoors.
