[ARCHIVED] Skate, Bike and Scooter Riders Invited to National Go Skate Day at the Youth Activity Park

St. Charles County, Missouri – Attention all extreme sports enthusiasts! Join the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department to celebrate national Go Skateboarding Day from noon to 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 21 at the Youth Activity Park in Dardenne Prairie. Admission is free for anyone with a skateboard, roller blades, BMX bike or scooter, as well as for spectators.

This year, Go Skateboarding Day marks its 10th anniversary the Youth Activity Park, the Midwest’s largest public outdoor skate venue! Over the past decade, this special event has grown into one of the region’s largest Go Skateboarding Day celebrations. The extreme contests and activities that occur throughout the day attract youth and adults from across Missouri and surrounding states.

“We welcome all skateboard, BMX, and scooter enthusiasts to come out and ride the new concrete at the Youth Activity Park,” said St. Charles County Parks Director Bettie Yahn-Kramer. “Our 33,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility recently was updated and features many new components, including coping surrounding the big bowl and several new roll-in features.”
