St. Charles County, Missouri – Michelle McBride, Collector of Revenue, has received the 2016 Thomson Reuters Public Sector Champion Award for Office Holder of the Year.
McBride received the award Sept. 21. Public Sector Champion Awards recognize government jurisdictions and officials that have achieved excellence in planning, leadership and service. McBride was recognized as Office Holder of the Year for establishing a program to allow citizens to make partial or advanced payments on future tax bills to make the process more manageable.
“I am very honored and humbled to receive this award,” says McBride. “I have an incredible staff that supports and encourages me in making changes like this that have a positive impact on our citizens.”
McBride has served as St. Charles County’s Collector of Revenue since March 1, 2007. She currently serves as President of the Missouri County Collectors’ Association (MCCA) and as Treasurer of the National Association of County Collectors, Treasurers and Finance Officers (NACCTFO).
