St. Charles County, Missouri — Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs looking for peer-to-peer learning and collaborative problem-solving need look no further than the acclaimed ProductCamp “unconference” being held in St. Charles County from 12-5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14 at Ranken Technical College in Wentzville. If you build, design, market or manage a product or service, this event is for you!

Unlike any traditional conference, there is no formal agenda. Participants drive the program. Those in attendance will vote after the network session to decide who will present sessions. Some of the speakers “on call” are from Objex Design, Masterclock and True Manufacturing.

“This event is for everyone who needs an innovative, new approach to creating new products and services, or solving important issues,” said Scott J. Drachnik, director of the St. Charles County Department of Workforce & Business Development. “It is a great opportunity for St. Charles County area businesses – start-ups and established alike.”

Thanks to generous sponsors, there are a limited number of free tickets still available for interested students and manufacturers. Just register on-line and type in either Student of Manufacturer to waive the $20 registration fee. Additionally, exhibit booth space is available for $100 per business or group and event sponsorships are $200. Sign-ups are underway at www.growmanufacturing.org.

Community partners who know about collaborating and problem solving have teamed up to present the event, including St. Charles County Department of Workforce & Business Development in partnership with St. Louis Makes, Ranken Technical College – Wentzville, the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce, Western St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce, St. Charles Community College, St. Charles Adult & Community Education – Lewis & Clark Career Center, EDC Business & Community Partners, City of Wentzville, InNovare Law and Objex Design.
