St. Charles County, Missouri- The Office of Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar announces that today, The Honorable Judge Jon A. Cunningham granted Defendant’s Motion for Change of Venue in the matter of State vs. Pamela Hupp. The Court ruled that a jury will be selected from a venue outside of St. Charles County, and that the trial itself will still be conducted in St. Charles County. The Court has yet to rule on which County will be the new venue for jury selection.
“As a Prosecutor one of my responsibilities is to ensure that the Defendant has fair trial. In this case there has been an extraordinary amount of pre-trial publicity that could jeopardize a fair trial. For that reason, I did not oppose the change of venue.”
Hupp is scheduled to be tried for Murder in the 1st Degree on October 3, 2017.
