[ARCHIVED] Get a Taste of Missouri Beer at Daniel Boone Home Brew Festival

St. Charles County, Missouri - Beer lovers from across the region will gather in the heart of Missouri’s wine country from noon – 5 p.m., Saturday, May 20, for the inaugural Daniel Boone Home Brew Fest. The event will be held at the Historic Daniel Boone Home near Defiance and will feature local breweries and homebrewers from across the state.

Presented by the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department, the Daniel Boone Home Brew Fest is open to guests 21 years and older. Participants include Augusta Brew Haus, Exit 6, Friendship Brewing Company, Garage Brew Society, Good News Brewing Company, Little Hills Home Brewers, Missouri Beer Co., STL Brewminati, Third Wheel Brewing, Trailhead, Two Plumbers Brewery & Arcade and more.  

Along with an afternoon of beer sampling, tickets include a souvenir tasting glass and tour of The Historic Daniel Boone Home. Participants will also have the opportunity to vote on the “People’s Choice” - best homebrew.

The festival also features live entertainment with Skylark Brothers Band from noon – 3 p.m., and Buskin Bootleggers from 3 – 5 p.m. Doughboys Wood Fired Pizza and Twisted Tacos food trucks will have items for purchase.

The Daniel Boone Home Brew Fest is limited to 500 attendees. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door and can be purchased online at www.stccparks.org  or by calling The Historic Daniel Boone Home at 636-798-2005. Designated driver tickets are free and include a ticket to tour The Historic Daniel Boone Home.

The Historic Daniel Boone Home is located at 1868 Highway F, Defiance, Mo 63341, and overlooks the scenic Femme Osage Valley. The 300-acre site includes The Historic Daniel Boone Home, adjoining Village historic site, and surrounding property.
