St. Charles County, Missouri – The St. Charles County Highway Department will reopen Greens Bottom Road between Amrein Road and Pitman Hill Road on Thursday, July 27, 2017. The completed improvements include improved vertical roadway alignment, wider lanes, shoulders and improved drainage.

“We would like to thank motorists and residents in the area for their patience as Missouri River flooding and utility relocations extended the closure time. The roadway will be much improved when the project is complete,” says County Engineer Craig Tajkowski.

While this section of Greens Bottom will be open to traffic on July 27, the contractor will be wrapping up minor items adjacent to the roadway. “We encourage all motorists passing through to follow the posted speed limit and to be alert for construction personnel working through August while they finalize the project,” adds Tajkowski.

This road project is part of a continuing effort by St. Charles County Government to improve the County’s road system for the safety of the traveling public. For more information about road projects underway in unincorporated St. Charles County, please call the Highway Department at 636-949-7305 or visit http://www.sccmo.org/Road-Projects.
