[ARCHIVED] Children Encouraged to Learn Mountain Biking with St. Charles County Parks

St. Charles County, Missouri Help us pass on our passion for cycling on to children across the region by taking part in Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9 at Broemmelsiek Park near Wentzville. The program is hosted by the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department and Gateway Off-Road Cyclists.

Children of all ages are encouraged to participate in this fun, free event that features bike skills clinics, guided trail rides, safety inspections and giveaways. A limited supply of demo bikes are available for use that day.

Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day is an annual national event created by the International Mountain Bicycle Association (IMBA) with a goal of introducing mountain biking to the next generation. It was first introduced in 2004.
