St. Charles County, Missouri– Effective immediately, the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department has issued a fire ban at all parks until further notice. The ban is in response to extremely dry conditions which present the high possibility of uncontrollable fires.
Guests cannot use the park grills or have camp fires in any area of any of the 12 County parks during the ban.
“Open fires are not permitted in our regional parks at this time,” says St. Charles County Parks Director Ryan Graham. “These fire restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of all park guests. Notifications have been posted in the parks, on the website, and on social media. You can help us by spreading the word.”
For more information about the fire ban, call the parks department at 636-949-7535.
