Second Annual Apprenticeship 101 Breakfast Forum to Feature MO Div. of Workforce Dev. Director

St. Charles County, Missouri Registered Apprenticeship programs can help businesses develop the skills and productivity of new and existing staff members – and the Missouri Job Center of St. Charles County has limited grant funding to help with wage and training costs. Business leaders can learn more during National Apprenticeship Week at the Second Annual Apprenticeship 101 Breakfast Forum planned for 8 a.m., Friday, Nov. 16, at the Missouri Job Center of St. Charles County at 212 Turner Boulevard in St. Peters.

This free event will include a continental breakfast, informative presentations and a panel of experts including:

  • Mardy Leathers, Director, Missouri Division of Workforce Development
  • Neil Perry, Missouri State Director, U.S. Department of Labor – Office of Apprenticeship
  • Tony Bryan, Executive Director, Midwest Cyber Center
  • Ben Abbott, General Manager, Permian Plastics
  • Dr. Bill Alter, VESTA Special Projects Coordinator, Missouri State University – School of Agriculture

“We are honored to have such a distinguished panel of experts,” says Scott J. Drachnik, Director of St. Charles County’s Department of Workforce & Business Development. “The panel will share new innovations and success stories about registered apprenticeships in information technology, advanced manufacturing, the Missouri grape and wine industry. and many other business sectors.”
