Make A Park Reservation 

‘Tis the season to reserve one of our park facilities for your next special event, family gathering, wedding reception, business conference or corporate picnic scheduled for 2016! Book your event up to two years in advance in one of our beautiful banquet facilities or meeting rooms, or make a reservation for a picnic shelter, large group areas, cabin or campsite, youth-group camping area! The Youth Activity Park is also the perfect place to host a youth birthday party, end of the year school celebration, or company event! Free holiday train display open through Jan. 31, 2016.

Festive Train Display Open

Come out to the Heritage Museum to see our free holiday train display that will be up and running through Sunday, January 31. Bring your family and friends to the museum to view the Gingerbread Village and Frosty’s Winter Wonderland model trains that are on display. Adults and children of all ages will delight in the sights and sounds of the trains as they make their way through part of the museum. Admission is free! The Heritage Museum is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Take a short hike on Jan. 9 at Broemmelsiek Park.

Celebrate Winter Trails

Mark your calendar and join us to hike winter trails at 1 p.m. on Jan. 9 at Broemmelsiek Park for a chance to win one of five one-night stays in a camping cabin in a St. Charles County Park! Depending on the weather, wear your hiking boots, cross country skis, or snowshoes, for a stroll through the park! The winter trails event is sponsored by Renewal by Andersen. Join us for a short hike through the park and then some hot chocolate near a warm fire in the fire pit at shelter #7 in the park. Participants must be present to win! Fun Nature Programs For Kids

Beginning in January, we will offer monthly nature programs for children to participate in this year! Our monthly Little Explorer preschool programs and Nature Detective outings are perfect way to get the kids out of the house this winter! Learn through the lens of nature as we explore prairies, rivers, wetlands, mammals, reptiles, insects, and much more on the first Tuesday of the month! Enroll your child today! Bald Eagle Winter Watch program is Jan. 27, 2016.

Eagle Days in the Park 

Get a closer look at our national icon at our Bald Eagle Winter Watch program at Hideaway Harbor Park on Feb. 27! Live eagle viewing of Louis, the famous Eagle from the World Bird Sanctuary, is from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Also, look for migrating eagles in flight, nesting and feeding off the open Mississippi River through telescopes provided by the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri, and even build a life-size eagle’s nest! Fire rings and hot cocoa provided. This free event is sponsored by Renewal by Andersen.
