1. St. Charles County Among State’s Top Vaccinated Communities
St. Charles County residents are taking the lead in protecting themselves and our community against COVID-19. As of June 24, an estimated 41.7 percent of our total population are fully vaccinated, and an estimated 46.5 percent have initiated vaccination. Are you aware that fireworks ordinances vary throughout St. Charles County? 3. Racer Registration, Tickets for Spectators Available for Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships QualifierThis is excitement you won’t want to miss! Racers and spectators can register now to be part of the area’s first Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships Qualifier at Kinetic Park, formerly Youth Activity Park, in Dardenne Prairie. The event will take place on the park’s asphalt pump track—the largest in the nation—from 12 to 10 p.m., Saturday, July 31. 4. Citizen Police Academy Gives First-Hand Look at Law Enforcement
Applications for the 2021 St. Charles County Police Department (SCCPD) Citizen Police Academy will be available July 2! This free program provides a first-hand look into the daily operations of the SCCPD and the law enforcement profession. The 12-week class is held 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Monday evenings, September–December, and covers patrol, special operations, use of force, crime scene investigations, crime lab operations, police K9, and more.
