Flood Recovery Ongoing; Assistance AvailableAfter torrential rain caused flash flooding throughout the area in late July, many residents and business owners have continued to grapple with recovering from flooded homes and facilities. Following disaster declarations by County Executive Steve Ehlmann and Missouri Governor Mike Parson, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) stepped in to provide federal assistance for those recouping losses from the flooding throughout the region. … MORE

4. Pet Adoption Center Hosting Community Events in September The St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center (PAC) is hosting two community events this month! Both events will feature opportunities to meet dogs, cats and other animals available for adoption, and give visitors access to learn more about the facility and volunteer opportunities. Treats (for humans) will be available to purchase, and gift bags will be given away to the first four families at each event with a birthday in September who adopt a new pet! Bring your pet (and maybe adopt a new one!), enjoy live DJ music, and get to know the PAC. - Taco Tuesday is 12-4 p.m., Tuesday (of course), Sept. 13. Mexican fare from the Moving Munchies food truck will be available for purchase.
- The Ice Cream Social is 2-5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, with tasty frozen treats for purchase from the Cool Times ice cream truck.

- County News Update: School Resource Officers: As the 2022-2023 school year gets underway, all schools in unincorporated St. Charles County, Dardenne Prairie, Weldon Spring and Augusta Elementary School in the Washington School District will have a School Resource Officer (SRO) from the St. Charles County Police Department keeping watch.
- St. Charles County Heritage Museum Exhibit: The American Revolutionary War in the West: "The American Revolutionary War in the West" exhibit at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum features rare artifacts, original documents, uniforms, flags and interactive components that explore life in the Mississippi River Valley region during the American Revolutionary War.
