Can I purchase a County-owned flood plain property?: No.

1. How many square feet of County buildings does your department maintain?: Direct responsibility for 760,000 sq. ft. and assist with other facilities for the County as needed.

2. When are the flood plain leases renewed?: Flood plain leases are renewed at the beginning of each calendar year. The leases are $5 per year or the option to pay $20 for 5 years. Please note that adjacent property owners have first right to refusal. Also, only government entities can own flood buyout properties, not citizens.

3. Can I purchase a County-owned flood plain property?: No.
