Are there housing fees associated with being held by the Department of Corrections?
Yes. St. Charles County charges per diem fees to recover room, board and medical expenses for persons committed to the custody of the St. Charles County Department of Corrections (SCCDOC). The authority for levy and collection of these charges is set forth in Section 221.070, RSMo, and County Ordinance Section 150.060. Payments may be made in person at the SCCDOC adult detention facility or mailed to the address below. All such payments mailed must be in the form of a cashier’s check or money order. Credit card payments or cash will be accepted in the SCCDOC ATM in the lobby of the adult detention facility or online at the JailATM website, however, there is a convenience fee charged by the payment processing service provider for these credit card transactions.
