If you believe that a St. Charles County Police Department Officer or employee has acted improperly, you may file a written complaint against the Officer or employee using this form. All complaints are investigated. If the investigation reveals misconduct or a violation of Department policy; standards of conduct; or local, state or federal law, disciplinary action will be taken. Please provide as much information as possible so that the Police Department may fully investigate your complaint.
The Citizen Complaint Review Procedure is not intended to resolve issues related to traffic citations or arrests for which criminal charges have been issued; such matters are to be resolved through the court systems.
If the Officer or Employee's name is unknown, please provide any known identifying information (e.g., physical description, badge number, vehicle description, license plate).
Please provide information about any witnesses to the events giving rise to your complaint.
To ensure public trust and confidence in the Department, every complaint will be thoroughly investigated. If any further information is needed to process a complaint, you and any witness(es) may be contacted by the Supervisor conducting the investigation. Following the conclusion of the investigation, you will be notified in person, by mail or by telephone by the Supervisor of the conclusion reached in the investigation of your complaint.
